Marco Schmidt is Professor at University of Würzburg. His research interests are intelligent in robotics and space technology.
From 2021 to 2022, Marco Schmidt was Professor at the newly founded CERI institute (Center Robotics) at the University of Applied Sciences Wuerzburg Schweinfurt.
Before, from 2014 to 2021, he was Professor at Bochum University of Applied Sciences, where he initiated the Robotics and Computer Technology group at Campus Velbert Heiligenhaus.
Marco Schmidt studied computer science at the University of Würzburg. After finishing his Diploma degree in 2006, he started to work as scientific collaborator in the field of space technology. He received his doctorate degree (Dr. rer. nat.) from the University of Würzburg in 2011. Before he was appointed at Bochum University of Applied Sciences, he worked as Professor for Telematics with focus on intelligent systems.
